Businesses choose WHO they give to in advance from a master list that is continuously updated, paying as little as $32.99/month for the printing, management, delivery, promotion, and an integrated web support. Area nonproftits receive more donations when they are selected and also receive a poster to display each donated auction item. A letter accompanies each donation providing details of the gift and who they should send the charitable tax-deductible receipt and thank you to.

Who is SantaFeDonations.com™?
This concept started in 2001.
It's challenging work to be a development director in a small saturated market like Santa Fe. Tracy Hogg, co-founder, moved to Santa Fe to take that challenge, helping to fund a small private school and get the community involved...a community that is continually asked for donations for many, many heartfelt causes. There was a stigma associated with the small school that only the rich could attend, and in fact, that is why the fundraising was needed - tuition assistance was the purpose of the fundraising so that no one would be turned down. In a town of over 955 nonprofits with a population of 66,000, a unique approach was needed, and one that would also benefit the businesses with exposure and increased business. When she started to talk to area businesses and proposed the idea, it was well received. The idea is steadily growing to serve the needs of the community.
For 17 years Tracy was also the creative director of an international advertising agency and therefore knows the importance of branding. Businesses depend on creative marketing and brand awareness. Logos need to be presented PROPERLY. She soon recognized that Silent Auctions can be overwhelming events and charitable organizations cannot spend their profits on administrative costs. Therefore, until now, it has been difficult for businesses offering gift certificate donations to promote their participation at events among so many visual donations like jewelry or artwork. Now the nonprofit receiving a gift certificate donation will also receive a poster to showcase what people will be bidding on and the business donor's logo is clearly visible.
Brian McPartlon, a partner, supported the idea, and of helping the community as a whole: to invent a new way to work together. As a area small business owner for the past 20 years, Brian McPartlon Roofing was recently named 2007 NATIONAL Roofing Contractor of the Year. He believes in innovation, the potential of the web, and has served on several boards. Brian whole-heartedly threw his resources into this business concept with his entrepreneurial expertise.
Together they have set out to redefine the way donations are done - making it easy for both nonprofits and businesses to connect and work together.
Our goal was to reach 10,000, that's 10,000 gift certificates going to nonprofit organizations the first year. We've surpassed that now with over 12,500 going out the first year it was introduced (2008).
